Bridging Science and Design: PurePEG’s E-commerce Revolution

When a scientist is searching for the right tool for their groundbreaking work, the last thing they need is to get lost in a maze of technical jargon and confusing navigation. This was the heart of the challenge I faced with the PurePEG project.

Imagine being a researcher, racing against time to develop a potentially life-saving drug. You know you need a specific type of polyethylene glycol, but faced with a wall of chemical structures and technical specifications, finding the right product feels like searching for a molecule in a haystack.

This is where the art of UX design meets the world of science. My goal wasn’t just to make a prettier website—it was to create a digital environment where complex information feels approachable, where finding highly specific products becomes intuitive, and where scientists can focus on their groundbreaking work instead of deciphering a website.

The PurePEG project taught me that accessibility in design isn’t just about making things look simple—it’s about profound respect for the user’s time, expertise, and mission. It’s about understanding that behind every search query is a person trying to push the boundaries of science.

By bridging the gap between complex chemistry and user-friendly design, we didn’t just improve a website. We played a small but meaningful part in accelerating scientific discovery.
